Mahan Gallery is now one of the few locations in the country and only spot in Ohio that carries Blood is the New Black t-shirts. Owner and line curator Mitra Khayyam focuses on displaying the works of emerging artists, illustrators and photographers in order to propel their careers and support the underground art movement via design collaborations. Mitra likes the idea of providing artists with an avenue to explore social topics and bring attention to issues. She challenges those daring enough to wear BITNB shirts to instantly become a walking canvas and conversation piece/starter.
